Jaxson Dart: The Start of a New Golden Age of New York Giant Football

Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo: New York’s New Favorite Sons

The Jaxson Dart Era is Here

“He’s everything you want in a quarterback…and a leader of this team”, swooned Brian Daboll. He’s got it. There is a presence about him, a calmness but ability to move quick. He is fearless in the middle of a storm, and on any given play… whether it’s completely broken or drawn out perfectly, it can be converted into a first down. As a Giant’s fan….we’ve gotten so used to just hoping and wishing for a franchise quarterback, that doesn’t just have occasional good plays…but is the person the other teams gameplan around. This isn’t perfect, and with his style it most likely never will be…but he has future MVP written all over him.

Top 5 Reasons Jaxson Dart is a Guaranteed Future Hall of Famer

  1. The Brain

    • Processing speed is elite. "He really is a quick learner, really can see everything and can chunk information," Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin said about his former quarterback on the ‘Giants Huddle’ podcast. "And if he is struggling with something, he's going to find a way. He's going to stay after. He's going to do whatever it takes." He reportedly learned the playbook and brand new cadences at all-time levels.

    • In college, and three games into his pro career he has processed and seen the field at an elite level, especially for a rookie quarterback. Using Sean Payton’s highly regarded “Quarterback Processing Formula”: P=(Sack rate + Interception Rate+ Fumble Rate) we can gauge where Jaxson Dart’s speed is.

    • The lower the number, the better the assumed processing and decision making. Jaxson dart scored a 8.7 P Rate, which was higher than Caleb Williams out of college, Drake Maye, Sheadeur Sanders, and JJ McCarthy. His high octane knowledge of football allowed Lane Kiffin to expand the playbook more than he typically would with a college quarterback.

    2. The Ability

    • Standing 6 feet and 2 inches tall and weighing around 225lbs…he’s got a solid NFL quarterback build. Jaxson has an above average arm, with a million different arm angles. He led the FBS in deep throw passing last year with only 6 interceptions. What was slightly overlooked by many fans, but not by MYSELF or obviously Daboll….is his knack for scrambling. He has good speed, and great vision in the open field with smooth mooooooves. I think the biggest reason for his success is his ability to keep his eyes downfield when moving outside the pocket. Defenders have to stay home. He’s proven to be fearless, have a strong accurate arm, and take a play with zero hope and create something out of it. Playmaking ability is exactly what we needed and I craved!

    3. The DAWG

    • Jaxson Dart is a dog. The prettiest of pretty boys, but with an absolute shard for a chip on his shoulder. He craves contact and he craves the moment. After Thursday’s huge upset over the Eagles, Jaxson Dart was invited to the post-game desk on Prime with a mix of ex NFL superstars and Hall of Famers. Jaxson instantly became the alpha in the room. Grabbed the mic, controlled the conversation, and led a viral moment where the CTE kid Cam Skats went shirtless with my personal favorite backup QB of all-time, Ryan Fitzpatrick. He didn’t do it in an obnoxious, loud, or boisterous pain in the ass hot shot young guy way. When he was speaking everyone was listening. It makes sense that he leads the rooms, it feels right. The coaches see it, the fans see it, and most importantly his teammates know he’s a certified DAWG.

    4. The Experience

    • He’s been great at every level. Don’t believe me? Go look at his high school stats when he won Gatorade National Player of the year. Out of this world stats. He’s played elite at every level, and he’s played a shit ton of football. He’s not some late bloomer who has stormed up the draft boards because of a fast 40 time…he’s been the man since he’s been a man.

    5. The Face

    • Being shallow is not a good attribute to teach your children…or anyone for that matter. But my brain is fully developed and I don’t care I shall shout it from the mountains….he has a face for being the King of New York. Jaxson Dart has been a topic of conversation more often than almost every single other athlete in any sport the past few weeks. An actual scientific study, dubbed the “Halo Effect”, found a correlation between the facial attractiveness of an NFL quarterback’s face to their career QBR. It’s a confidence booster, and men are secretly 3% homosexual….so I think they want their “ideal quarterback” to have a face that isn’t meant for just radio.

Maybe I’m wrong, but check out some of his plays from their stunning upset this past Thursday Night Football against the Eagles.

Conclusion:

The guy just fucking gets it. Confident on the field. Humble but assertive off the field. He was built to play quarterback. He was built for the NFL. He was built to be a New York Football Giant.
