New York Giants: Top 5 Things That NEED to Happen to Become A Winning Franchise Again

Times have been tough, we know this as Giant’s fans. The million dollar question is what in the world do we need to do to turn this ship around. Here’s a blueprint of what it will take to turn the New York Giants back into one of the “Titans of Football” again.

Top Five To-Dos

  1. Change of the Guard: Coach Daboll and Coach Bowen Need to be Fired!

    2. Keep Jaxson Healthy and Developing

    • We have found our franchise QB, we must keep him healthy and properly developing. Rather than constantly learning to run for his life and develop bad habits just to turn a broken play into a five yard gain.

    • Enforce proper sliding and situational awareness. We know he’s tough, now let’s hammer him with playing smart. Daboll was too into him being a dog that it led him to feeling okay with putting himself and the team in danger.

    3. The Defense: Fix It

    • We have pillars at the pass rusher positions, so we can completely ignore and pass rushers this offseason.

    • Athletic and run stopping linebackers need to be added.

    • Darius Alexander’s development into a solid partner to Dexter and strong in the run game is key, unless my blockbuster trade happens…

    • New defensive coordinator hire: needs to coach fearless and prepared. Coach to our strengths.

    4. Clear Cap Space & Dead Weight:

    • Graham Gano

    • Rakeem Nunez- Roches

    • Evan Neal

    • If we could find a way to offload Slayton, I’d pee my pants.

    5. Free Agency and Draft Plan:

    • Add a dependable playmaker for our franchise QB, Jaxson Dart. This can be achieved in draft or free agency.

    • Add depth and increased talent to our guard position on the offensive line. Draft.

    • Potential Blockbuster trade: Dexter Lawrence for a haul of draft capital. Only consider this trade if we have eyes on Peter Woods as our first round pick in the NFL draft. Flipping Dexter for cap savings and additional draft picks would be clever if we plan to add stud Peter Woods to take over control of our interior defensive line.

    • NEED to continue to add to our cornerback room through the draft and free agency.

New coaching staff, franchise QB, healthy studs returning, and a concise aggressive approach to our offseason and I believe the New York Giants will be contending for a wildcard birth in 2026.

LET’S GO BIG BLUE!
