Is the NFC East Imploding?
A few years ago the NFC East was the laughing stock of the NFL. I believe the winner of the division had 7 wins…which is so bad it’s impressive. Then one day I wake up and we have one of the most competitive divisions in the league. Jalen Hurts, Jayden Daniels, Dak Prescott, and……Daniel Jones.
The Giants were now the lone laughing stock and I was angry. Despondent even. With DJ at the helm making a humble 40 million a year….we finished with 3 wins. YAY us!
Now fast forward to 2025. The division is more competitive then ever. The Giants now have a veteran legend at QB who is showing off his leadership ability and strong arm daily at camp, their new first round pick Abdul Carter might as well wear a gold jacket at camp, and we may have the best WR in the entire league. With this new found hope…there is something even juicier transpiring which I must give attention to.
The NFC East is imploding. Years and years of Jerry Jones proving to be a pompous ass-clown has finally started to bite him in the tooshy. Micah Parsons, arguably the best defensive player in the entire NFL is now DEMANDING a trade. This is no negotation tactic. He’s done. Tired of the disrespect. Tired of the terrible negotation tactics that Jerry pulls with his players forcing closed room meetings without represenation. Ridiculous and Micah forcing his way out would be a gigantic blow to the Cowboys playoff chances. I’d say, it would be impossible without him.
What might be even more surprising is the next piece of news. This one I am a little less confident in but still a man can hope…Terry Mclaurin, the electric and extremely loyal wide receiver on the Washington Commanders , has no requested a trade. The man wants to be paid. The man has sat through terrible years and terrible experiences with management to now have a beautiful situation with a franchise QB. He wants to be thanked and paid for his loyalty. I don’t blame him. What seemed to be a perfect locker room chemistry situation between players and management would take a very large blow if Terry was to be traded over a few million dollars per year. This could be YYuugee for the Giant’s chances.
Of course, we still have the dumb Eagles in the way and nothing has seemed to effect them yet….but there’s always more time.
Let’s stay steady and let the other teams in the division beat themselves. Lets go Big Blue!
