Record Breaking Duo Incoming: Brian Burns x Abdul Carter

Abdul Carter has been the talk of the town. Enough so that if I was Mr. Burns, aka Spider-Man himself, I’d be starting to get a little salty wondering when people are going to begin discussing me. I am guilty of it myself…the new shiny toy that could possibly be one of the greatest defensive players to walk the Earth lands on the Giants, it’s hard to remember the other members of the Big Blue. Today was a good reminder just how much talent this defense has and just who the leaders of the line still are. Brian Burns reminded everyone this week in joint practice just who the man really is.

The New York Jets and the New York Football Giants have joint practices all week long preparing for their game on Saturday. Reports of Malik Nabers and a few other offensive weapons were sitting out nursing minor injuries, and our offense performed below average. A few strong plays but for the most part we struggled to move the ball down the field…..what is new? But all of that didn’t matter…we showed exactly how we’re going to stay in games this year. Complete suffocation of the other team’s quarterback and an utter destruction of their confidence in the pocket.

I saw five clips. Literally, all five of the clips had Dexter Lawrence pushing the center in front of him like a child with Brian Burns coming around the edge as if we was doing reps against a tackling dummy. People quickly forgot that last year Burns was nursing an injury almost the entire season and still was a productive player. This year I believe will be his career best.

A physical menace who is in the absolute prime of his career, I am expecting 15 sacks. Fast and tenacious, spider-man will be a force to be reckoned with and I believe he’s primed to be the Giant’s best defensive player. Double team and help blocks who? How will this be possible…standing next to Dexy, Thibs, and Abdul Carter.

Right now Brian Burns is a +8000 long-shot to win the DPOY in the NFL , I would support a small wager on this bet in 2025.

Bottom line…Burns needs to be getting the buzz in camp this year as he’s dominating. Let’s see how it pans out in 2025.
