Giants vs. Denver Week 7 Preview & Prediction: The Beef is Real
The bulletin boards in the Giant’s locker room are jam packed going into their pretentious week 7 matchup in Denver. The Denver Broncos are an interesting case study of a team. Their defense is nasty, they get after and CLOSE fast on the quarterback at a high rate. They also struggle to score…and play close games with the gutters of the NFL like the New York Jets. In a vacuum, this game would be a very interesting test for this resurging New York Giants Team. A team with one of the youngest rosters in the NFL, and a team with 3 players on the ESPN Top 10 Rookies list in 2025. This game will test our offensive line and its ability to stand up to a talented front…and most importantly it will test our All-Pro Left Tackle, Andrew Thomas.
THE MATCHUP OF THE GAME
ANDREW THOMAS VS. Nik Bonitto
“I have never seen such a delusional fan base” - Little Nik Bonitto
The league’s leader in sacks verse one of the league’s top left tackles. Bonitto is leading the league with 8 sacks…and has Brian Burns right on his heels with 7 sacks. A few weeks ago Bonitto would have been licking his chops standing on the other side of the ball from our village idiot James Hudson. But now, our mid-season MVP (awarded by the Authority board of voters) Andrew Thomas, will be standing firm on his left island of our offensive line. Andrew Thomas is a top 5 tackle in the NFL, and has not given up one single mother loving QB Pressure since he’s returned! No matter the outcome, reviewing the tape of this 1 on 1 matchup will be appointment television.
KEYS TO VICTORY FOR THE GIANTS
Time of Possession
We NEED to be able to conjure up first downs. Every possession does not need to end in a score, but we can not start the game off with three straight 3 and outs. The new regime with the young gunners has avoided this, let’s keep that going!
Constant Chaotic Pass Rush
The Broncos are on pace to break the NFL record for sacks in a season. What we have in our possession is a plethora of insanely talented defensive lineman ourselves. We have potentially four of the top thirty defensive lineman in the NFL. This game NEEDS to be Abdul Carter’s coming out party. No more barking his pressure stats which are impressive….he needs to finish…twice on Sunday.
Composure
This game, from a few quotes and some madness on social media…has boxing like pre-game promotion hype behind it. Their #2 rusher, Jonathon Cooper had some passive aggressive words for Jaxson Dart in his pre-game presser: “He’s a young guy. He’s feelin’ himself a little bit. He’s out there running around. He’s got the chain on. He’s dancing. Know know, I feel like everybody needs something, you know.”
Since Jaxson Dart has taken the reigns of this franchise, the hype has become Jeremy Linn levels in New York and nationwide. If we start slow, and Denver goes out to an early lead we NEED to exercise deep breathing and patient play. A young gunner like Jaxson with all this hype and pressure behind him may lead to a bit of overplaying which usually leads to turnovers. I think he’s built for these types of games.
Perfection on the Sidelines
This is going to be quite the test. Playing in an extremely tough environment, pre-game shenanigans adding more pressure to the situation, and facing the league’s best defense. One thing we CAN NOT DO is allow for any coaching mistakes or mishaps. We NEED to be prepared. We can’t find ourselves in the second quarter with no kicker or having four straight penalties from a buffoon like James Hudson showing the lack of discipline we came into the game with. We need and expect perfection on all aspects of the game that are in our control. Brian Daboll needs to follow the key to the game above, composure, and coach like he’s the man for the job in 2026.
Jaxson Dart
He’s been annointed by many, “The Chosen One”. He looks the part, he’s played the part, and he has the full backing of the hardest to impress fan base in the entire world. Jaxson Dart needs to prove that he won’t back down from a challenge. He may have bad moments, some sacks, maybe an interception or two…but he won’t back down and look frantic. This week would be a true launching point onto the future of the Jaxson Dart Era.
